Happy with the quality work Mark did to replace a Tankless Water Heater in our house with a new one, when our older one suddenly stopped working. House Depot was quick to respond, provide a quote and do the install within a couple of days, which was much appreciated as we were without hot water. Mark worked very hard on the job, and was thorough in all the work he did. I didn’t realize how much work goes into a Tankless install. Good, honest and straightforward. I would hire Mark again.

Yes, Absolutely! Investing in a tankless water heater can be a game-changer for your home. Here’s why:

1. Energy Efficiency: Unlike traditional water heaters that constantly heat and reheat water in a tank, whether you use it or not, tankless water heaters only heat water when you need it. This can result in significant energy savings, potentially lowering your utility bills over time.

2. Endless Hot Water: Say goodbye to running out of hot water mid-shower! Tankless water heaters provide a continuous supply of hot water, so you can enjoy long showers or run multiple hot water appliances simultaneously without worrying about a cold surprise.

3. Space Saving: Traditional water heaters can take up a significant amount of space, especially if you have limited square footage. Tankless water heaters are much smaller and can be mounted on walls, freeing up valuable floor space in your home.

4. Longevity: While traditional water heaters typically last around 10-15 years, tankless water heaters have a longer lifespan, often lasting 20 years or more with proper maintenance. This can save you money in the long run by avoiding the need for frequent replacements.

5. Reduced Risk of Water Damage: Since tankless water heaters don’t store water in a tank, there’s a lower risk of leaks or water damage compared to traditional heaters that can rupture or develop corrosion over time.

6. Customized Temperature Control: Most tankless water heaters allow you to set the desired temperature precisely, giving you greater control over your hot water preferences.

Selecting the right size of tankless water heater doesn’t have to be complicated. We’ve simplified the process with a straightforward three-step formula, guaranteeing the ideal match for your hot water requirements.

Step 1 – Calculating Your Peak Hot Water Demand: We start by identifying the maximum number of hot water fixtures you might use simultaneously in your home. This could include showers, faucets, dishwashers, washing machines, etc. Then we add up the flow rates (in gallons per minute, or GPM) of these devices to determine your peak hot water demand.

Step 2 – Calculating Temperature Rise: Next, we determine the temperature rise required to reach your desired hot water temperature. This is the difference between the incoming ground water temperature and your preferred hot water temperature. (In Ontario, the average groundwater temperature hovers around 47°F / 8.3°C).

Step 3 – Matching Flow Rate and Temperature Rise to Your Needs: We recommend a unit with a flow rate that accommodates your peak demand and a temperature rise capability that ensures your desired hot water temperature is achieved.

Our prices for tankless water heaters, including the unit with standard installation with all necessary materials and labor, are remarkably competitive. Ranging from CA$2,600 up to CA$3,900 (before HST).

Pricing depends on factors such as the type of existing water heater, capacity (GPM) of the tankless unit, and desired models and features. Contact us today for a consultation and discover how we can meet your needs affordably.

The cost of maintenance for a tankless water heater is generally lower compared to traditional tank-style water heaters. It typically ranges from CA$150 to CA$250. This includes tasks such as flushing the system to remove mineral buildup and checking for any potential issues.

The frequency of flushing a tankless water heater can vary depending on factors such as water hardness, usage patterns, and manufacturer recommendations.

In Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), where water tends to be moderately hard, it’s generally recommended to flush a tankless unit once a year to prevent mineral buildup and maintain optimal performance.

Hot water recirculation is a system designed to provide instant access to hot water throughout your home, eliminating the wait time for hot water to travel from the water heater to the fixtures in a home or building.

Advantages of Recirculation Systems:

Convenience and Comfort: Hot water recirculation ensures instant access to hot water throughout your home, enhancing convenience and comfort in your daily routine. Whether it’s for a refreshing morning shower or washing dishes in the kitchen, knowing that hot water is readily available adds to the overall comfort and enjoyment of your home.

Water Savings: By eliminating the need to run the faucet or shower to wait for hot water, recirculation systems help conserve water. Rather than letting cold water go down the drain, unused hot water is recirculated back to the water heater, reducing water wastage and promoting sustainability.
